Summer Water: Rose @ Cloudport, Tuesday 06/26 6PM-8PM

There was a time when Rosé wine was thought as a sweet, cloying, pink wine from California referred to as White Zinfandel.  In the past few years that has changed dramatically, Rosé has become one of the most popular wines on the market and rightfully so… in fact many of the first red wines produced were more reminiscent of rosé then what we are familiar with today.  Almost every region of the Wine World now produces a Rosé, and there are so many different styles that confining oneself to only drink Rosé during the warmer months would be a disservice to oneself.  During this presentation we will touch on a few different methods of making Rosé while exploring some wines that may just surprise you!

Students will taste 8-10 wines and partake in an experiential lecture with Sommelier Chris Peterman.

Cloudport is located at 63 Federal St, Portland, ME
